DESCRIPTION: Methane (CH4) is a colourless, flammable, non-toxic gas and is the first member of the paraffin series of hydrocarbons.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS: Used in the testing of gas appliances, and as a raw material in the production of ethanol and methyl chloride.
High purity Methane is burned to form high quality carbon black, which is used in a variety of electronic components.
